Prospection is a Healthcare Data Analytics provider working with Life Science companies, Research Institutes, Academia and Governments across the Asia Pacific Region.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

The main reason we collect, use, hold and disclose personal information is so we can provide you with products and service and run our business. This may include:

  • providing you with the product or service; helping you manage our products
  • helping us develop insights and conduct data analysis to how we communicate with you
  • helping us develop insights and conduct analysis on how we improve the products we deliver
  • enhance your experience when working with Prospection
  • understanding your interests and preferences so we can tailor digital content.

When you register your interest or make an enquiry, we collect information that is reasonably necessary to be able to provide you with the appropriate response or product. For instance, we may ask for identification information such as your name, email, phone number and product interest. All the information we collect via this site is confidential, all records will be stored in a secure environment at all times. By entering your details you are agreeing to the retention and use of your information for the subscribed inquiry.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When using the site and entering your details in the forms provided your are consenting to the collection and storage of your information.

Who we share your data with

If you have subscribed by entering your details, we may use your personal information to directly offer you products and services that we believe may be of interest and value to you, but we will not do this if you tell us not to. These products and services may be offered by a member of Prospection by email or targeted marketing through Prospection mail. When we market products and services to you, we will comply with applicable Privacy Laws to obtain your consent if required. If you do not want to receive marketing offers from us, please contact us using contact details or opt-out facility provided to you.

We do not provide mail lists to other third parties for marketing purposes. We may at times provide lists for product research purposes. Google Analytics may use cookies to track your user experience on the site for analytics purposes (refer Cookies and Analytics sections)

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in our mail list profile. Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

You can request access to the personal information we hold about you. You can also ask for corrections to be made. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal or security purpose. To do so, please contact us.

How we protect your data

Much of the information we hold about you will be stored electronically in a secure data centre located in Australia. We use a range of physical, electronic and other security measures to protect the security, confidentiality and integrity of the personal information we hold.

Strict control is applied to ensure organisations will only have access to relevant data and not beyond. Records are obtained via secure channels – whether it be FTP/API/removable media devices. Staging environments such as FTP server is periodically cleansed to prevent sensitive data from lingering. Removable media devices are kept in a secure locked location. Only authorised staff will have controlled access to client information/records. The records must be encrypted while in transit and at rest. This covers all physical media such as storage disks, backup media, and removable media (USB flash drives, external drives, CD/DVDs). When records are being requested for removal, ensure all associated access methods are terminated. Ensure all running electronic storage are cleaned. Ensure all removable media containing the requested data is destroyed. The exclusion are backups. We will not retrospectively clean up backups. When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
