I’m now nearly a month into my new role – and it has given me pause to think a little about my journey from working with a prominent health-focused organization like Movember to my current role as Head of Product and Data at Prospection. On the surface, it may seem like a significant move into a whole new industry and environment, but my commitment to supporting healthier communities has remained unwavering. At Movember, I had the privilege of seeing my direct contributions help to improve the lives of men facing a diagnosis of prostate or testicular cancer. More subtly, my work contributed to the shifting societal norms around masculinity and what it means to be an open, vulnerable, modern man. Now, while my immediate vision may have shifted, I still find myself in a position to drive a substantial health impact through innovative technology and data at Prospection.
A Shared Vision for Health
Movember, as many of you may know, is the largest global charity focused on men’s health. It aims to raise awareness and support for critical issues like prostate cancer, testicular cancer and men’s mental health. The organization’s work revolves around creating a world where healthier men mean healthier families and communities.
My experience at Movember has been instrumental in shaping my passion for health and well-being. While I may have transitioned to a different part of the health sector, the overarching goal remains the same: to create a healthier community through the use of data and technology. In many ways, my journey from Movember to Prospection aligns perfectly with this shared vision.
Technology as a Catalyst
In only a few short weeks at Prospection, I’ve already realized that I have the privilege of working with a team of dedicated and exceptionally talented professionals who are determined to leverage advanced technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) to make a positive impact on patient outcomes. In the health industry, every bit of insight, every data point, and every innovation can translate into more effective patient care. It’s amazing to be part of a company that recognizes the importance of harnessing the power of data to drive transformative change.
Whether it’s partnering with pharma companies to optimize patient outcomes or helping them realize their full market potential, our work at Prospection—grounded in understanding patient journeys at scale—is intrinsically linked to creating healthier communities. Prospection AI, our robust patient-centric intelligence platform, is designed to provide data-driven insights into care-and-share to empower individuals and organizations to make informed, patient-focused decisions.
The Road Ahead
At Prospection, the ultimate goal is to help get the right patient on the right treatment at the right time. It’s inspiring to see the work we’ve done with more than a dozen customers to advance men’s health—just like at Movember. But now I’m moving beyond men’s health – I’ll be expanding my remit and looking to make a difference in advancing health for hundreds of diseases across hundreds-of-millions of patients!
I’m looking forward to contributing at Prospection, and contributing to improvement in the health of communities worldwide. We live in an era where data, technology and AI can be used to tackle some of the most significant health challenges of our time. My background at Movember and my role here reflect my commitment to being part of this wave of change – I’m proud to still be on the journey. (There’s so much mo to do!)
